Kickboxing

Blackdragon kickboxing is a perfect combination of western style boxing mixed with Eastern kung fu, recognised by its hand strikes, leg strikes, take downs and throws. A great blend of semi, light or full contact, it is also one of the best ways to lose weight and tone up.

What our kickboxing can do for your child

Self-discipline, self-defence, self-improvement.

One of the best gifts that you can provide for any child is the opportunity to possess the powers of a successful life. What are these powers? Patience, concentration, humility, self-discipline, self-control, self-confidence and a strong healthy body with good co-ordination, YKS Black Dragon Kickboxing for children is unique not just being a self-defence style, but because it is a total learning and improvements style. Children begin learning by being taught the basic skills, which are the foundation of the children’s syllabus. These skills improve and build coordination and balance.

Is your child picked on by others? School-work getting worse? Bad attitude? If you have any of these problems with your children, now is the time to send your child to one of our classes. YKS Black Dragon Kickboxing classes can help your child develop growth and high achievements. After a few months of training, each child will show dramatic changes, such as a lower level of anxiety, an increased sense of responsibility and self-esteem. Most of all they will begin to show improvements in school studies!

Their training at our schools could be the priceless gift of starting your children off properly on their long road to a happy successful life. Our system encourages children as young as 4 years to start; the younger the better.

Qingda

‘Qingda’ meaning ‘light contact’. It is a fast type of sparring that combines punching, kicking, blocking and take downs. It is a fun and enjoyable sport for everyone with benefits such as fitness, self defence skills, body conditioning and flexibility. All sparring is monitored and kept safe during training. Skilful students can also enter competitions though this is strictly their choice.

Sanda

‘Sanda’ or ‘sanshou’ means free fighting heavy contact. Sanda is similar Qingda except that the contact is much harder. It also includes fast throws and take downs. Again, students have the choice to enter into competitions.
